Robert was a well-liked headmaster who was killed while jogging beside the highway outside of the small Muskoka town of Rosseau, not far from where we live. The school contacted us to see if we could design a two-kilometer running/walking trail on the school property where it would be safe to do so for students and faculty.
It was a demanding project requiring several boardwalks over wet ground with a clay base, tons of hand-moved limestone fines (gravel) and a lot of ditching. We managed to complete the project just in time for their memorial opening last November – a year ago today. Andrea and I are happy to have built a trail that provides a safe and healthy activity for the school.
